Cousin Sal Prepares For The Trilogy

With UFC 264 On The Horizon, Cousin Sal Is Getting Ready For Another Exciting Night In Sports Gambling

It’s going to be a big week coming up for Cousin Sal and the Extra Points Podcast Network.

As much of a gambler these days as he is a prankster, Cousin Sal has begun making a name for himself in the sports gambling arena. When it comes to his lifetime average, he makes no bones about it; he could use all the pointers in the world from his cohorts and colleagues.

“It’s me and my idiot friends at home, the Degenerate Trifecta I grew up with,” Sal said. “We talk gambling on all fronts. I got a broader sports podcast with Dave Dameshek and we have Kendrick Perkins and Gina Paradiso doing basketball. Jerry Ferrara and Jen Piacenti giving daily picks so, yeah, we’re up and running there, and then I’m on Fox Bet One on Fox Sports. Half hour every day, Monday through Friday at 5 pm on FS1.”

Sports gambling mixed with a preexisting love for MMA and Cousin Sal has one hell of a July 10 coming up.

Already purchasing every PPV, Cousin Sal makes one of the most exciting sports a little more exciting from time to time. While the hand can get hot as hell occasionally, Sal keeps reality firmly in his mind when putting his money up.

“Oh I’m terrible,” Sal laughed. “You have to hit like 55 or 56% of the time to break even. I will say I’ve had some good runs. I was on the Thursday Night Football Pregame Show the last few years and last year I won nine weeks in a row to end the season. I think if you would have parlayed those picks you would have hit 66-1 odds. I’m very full of myself when I win, but believe me, I know the losses are going to come in abundance at some point so you can’t get too crazy.”

Cousin Sal sees both advantages and disadvantages to betting MMA. While he finds it might be slightly easier to pick fight to fight, something about MMA makes it parlay-proof.

“I think I break about even with MMA,” Sal said. “As even as I’m going to. What MMA doesn’t do, I guess because the gloves are smaller and anything can happen, you don’t have a lot of -700s. The biggest one on a main card or prelims will be a -400. That’ll be the biggest one, so where I lose my money on other sports is parlaying big favorites together and then ultimately one of them screws me. You don’t really have that in MMA.”

Mayweather vs McGregor, as well as McGregor vs Poirier 2, were both big nights for Cousin Sal, so if trends hold true, UFC 264 will be as well. In fear of a divorce if his exact figures were divulged it’s hard to say just how “interesting” the night will be but you’re always just one click away from finding who he may win or lose big on.
