Biography
TRAINING: I train 2-3 times a day 6 days a week, and take 1 day off. I live in Tsunami Gym back home in Cambridge, so I am constantly surrounded by people training! I also travel out to One MMA in Portland, Oregon to train with Chael Sonnen, my coach from TUF17.
When and why did you start training for fighting? 2009. My close teammate Jack Mason invited me down to train at Tsunami Gym, because I told him I could kick the s**t outta him. Whilst we worked together, he beat the crap outta me and I never stopped coming back. I’m still trying to give him that kickin’ he deserves
What ranks and titles have you held? None
Do you have any heroes? I always wanted to be a Mutant Ninja Hero Turtle... but my parents wouldn't let me play in the sewage. So I started respecting others, but no one has quite made it to hero status. I'm not a 12 year old girl who idolises people & covers my bedroom in posters of people. The first person you need to thank in life is yourself...
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The UFC represents a certain standard. I'm glad to be representing this standard and getting the opportunity to show my talents to the world. I fight to prove to others that you can live the life you choose and to be successful you don't need to do what society tells you... in a very short time I’m able to prove this, thanks to the UFC.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I never went to college; I went straight to work to earn money, as I left home at a young age.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was an Account Executive for a PR company in London.
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? I went 9-1 as an amateur, but never competed for any titles.
Ranks in any martial arts styles: Indigo Belt in Gypsy Jiu-Jitsu
Favorite grappling technique: Thai Clinch...
Favorite Striking technique: Jab, Elbows & Knees
