Biography

TRAINING: In the morning I go running or lift weights.  In the afternoon it’s team training, and at night I’ll either run or lift again.

When and why did you start training to become a fighter? I started training Korean wrestling when I was 12.  I turned pro in MMA in 2003

What ranks and titles have you held? Former DEEP lightweight champion, Former NEO FIGHT lightweight champion

Do you have any heroes? General Soon Sin Lee

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It has been my passion to fight in the UFC for a long time. I’m more motivated than ever to make a good impression in the best MMA organization in the world. Thank you to all the fans and the UFC for giving me the opportunity.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
I attended Kyungbuk Science University and graduated with a degree in police studies

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked at a golf range at the Yangji Country Club as a golf cart mechanic
