When and why did you start training for fighting? November of 93 – (Teila) Tuli's tooth flying out of his mouth made my year.

What ranks and titles have you held? #1 in New England according to Massmma.net

Do you have any heroes? Ashley Joler, my girlfriend. She has stood by me through so much for my dream. Her strength and resolve inspire me.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Validation for a lot of blood, sweat, and broken bones. I was lucky to have so many people around me believe in me and my dream. On the other hand, I've endured my family telling me for six years to get a job and stop training, my ex-wife telling me her or fighting, and six years of poverty. It’s been worth it and then some.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I’m three credits short of a degree in Financial Economics from UNF.

What was your job before you started fighting? I've done every crappy job that didn't interfere with the gym.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? I've won some Muay Thai fights, and some grappling tournaments.
