In Celebration of the 100th opening, UFC® Hall of Famers BJ Penn, Matt Hughes and UFC Lightweight Contender Josh Thomson to Make Special Appearance
Oahu, HI – UFC GYM® BJ Penn invites the community to celebrate the official grand opening of its second gym in Hawaii (94-875 Lumiaina Street, Waipahu, HI 96797) on Sat., April 19, beginning at 8:30 a.m. UFC Hall of Famers BJ Penn, Matt Hughes and UFC lightweight contender Josh Thomson will be hosting the festivities. Members and guests will have the opportunity to meet the athletes, tour the gym, enjoy live fitness demonstrations, free fitness assessments and participate in a ceremonial Hawaiian blessing and ribbon cutting. Members joining during the grand opening will receive special membership incentives. Activities are free and open to the community. The full schedule for the celebration is available below.

UFC GYM BJ Penn is a partnership with former two-division champion and Season 19 coach of The Ultimate Fighter®, BJ Penn. In addition to being the 100th UFC GYM to open, the new site is the second BJ Penn signature gym in the fighter’s home state of HI, joining the first location in Oahu.
The location in Waikele extends over 30,000 square feet and features a 30 foot Octagon™, Brazilian jiu-jitsu studio, bag room, top-of-the-line strength training and cardio machines, battling ropes, agility ladders and other functional training equipment for dynamic workouts.
