The Minnesota native Asplund controlled things in the first, dropping Pat late before chasing him to the canvas and working him over from top position. In the second, Pat rallied, opening up Asplund under the right eye with his swift jab, dropping him with a left hook, and drawing level on the cards, only for Asplund to respond by busting up Pat with a high kick and wearing out his Brazilian foe over the final five minutes.

All three judges saw the fight the same, scoring it in favor of Asplund, who got things moving in the right direction again after suffering his first UFC loss earlier this year. Now 8-2 overall, “Concrete” continues to establish himself as a fan-friendly addition to the big boy ranks, with Pat showing promise and the opportunity to continue to grow going forward.

The light heavyweights spent the first three minutes of the opening frame trading kicks and working at the edge of each other’s range, neither landing anything of real significance before Nurgozhay clipped Lopes with a shot that sent the Brazilian to the canvas. Lopes somehow fell into a takedown, but the Kazakh fighter quickly worked to his feet and went on the offensive, finishing Lopes with a string of shots along the fence just before the horn sounded.

That’s back-to-back wins this year for the 29-year-old, who suffered a pair of stoppage losses out of the gate, but has now drawn level inside the Octagon. Nurgozhay is clearly building some momentum, and it will be interesting to see who he’s lined up with next following this first-round finish.

The Brazilian newcomer took his opponent to the canvas early in the contest, returning him to the mat and flattening him out after Sutherland worked back to his feet. From there, Montanha attacked the choke, securing the tap just ahead of the two-minute mark of the opening stanza.

After having two fights fall through, this was a tremendous way for the 29-year-old heavyweight to kick off his UFC journey. Currently riding a four-fight winning streak and brandishing a 100-percent finishing rate, you can add Montanha’s name to the growing list of younger heavyweights looking to make headway in the division.

The Brazilian came out searching for power shots as always but ended up stuck defending on the ground for much of the first as Miranda dragged him to the canvas and worked from the back. But after hurting the newcomer in the second, Sousa did well to pressure and land, keeping the fight on the feet and landing the better blows the rest of the way home.

All three judges scored the fight for Sousa, who advanced to 2-0 in the Octagon and pushed his winning streak to four with the victory. The 29-year-old Brazilian takes another step forward with a quality win over a game, respected veteran while adding to the overall success enjoyed by the DWCS Class of ’25 so far this year.

After working to find their range and rhythm in the early part of the first round, Vasquez clipped Johns on the side of the head, sending the Contender Series grad to a knee and opening the door for the late replacement to press forward in search of a finish. But as he did, Johns connected with a left hand that floored Vasquez and the Kansas man pounced, quickly pounding out the finish.

Just an incredible reversal of fortunes for Johns, who scored his first win in more than two years, halting a three-fight slide in the process. It’ll be interesting to see if the 32-year-old opts to remain at featherweight or return to the bantamweight ranks in the future, but either way, this was an outstanding showing for “Chapo” at the new and improved Meta APEX.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 30 winner turned to her grappling early in the first after eating a couple clean shots from Oliveira, dominating on the canvas as she chased openings. In the second, she quickly put the Brazilian back on the deck and worked to her back, locking up the fight-ending choke.

This was a strong performance from Miller, who dropped her 2026 debut in February and came out eager to get things moving in the right direction again. Miller has excellent grappling when she can get into her bag, and showed that here, registering her second UFC victory and first finish.

The recent Dana White’s Contender Series grad Foro controlled the first with her striking, chopping at Canuto’s lead leg and landing both the greater volume and more punishing blows throughout the opening five minutes. In the second, Canuto put her compatriot on the canvas early and spent the duration of the frame in control, fishing for submissions. Just when it seemed like Foro was going to pull away in the third, Canuto secured a takedown and attacked an armbar, only for Foro to work free, leading to the pair slinging hands through to the final horn.

When the scorecards were collected and totaled up, it was Foro that came out ahead, earning her first UFC victory. Now 10-1 as a professional and riding an eight-fight winning streak, the 29-year-old Brazilian is one to keep close tabs on as an all-action addition to the strawweight ranks. Canuto deserves a ton of credit too, having taken the fight on incredibly short notice and shown she belongs on the big stage.
