Along the fence with a minute remaining, Van unloaded a string of attacks, mixing body shots with knees to the head, sending Bunes to the canvas where he poured it on to collect the finish.

That’s now three straight wins for the youngster since arriving in the UFC, and eight consecutive victories overall. He’s only been a pro since October 2021, but Van is quickly establishing himself as someone to keep close tabs on going forward in the 125-pound weight class.

Once the Fighting Nerds representative found his range, it was only a matter of time, as the power disparity between the two was significant. As soon as Silva landed with force and recognized Wilson was in a bad way, he refused to let him off the hook, continuing to land heavy shots that prompted referee Marc Goddard to step in and halt the action.

Although his wasn’t able to find a finish or even land anything particularly devastating throughout the 15-minute battle, this was another technical, well-rounded performance from the undefeated prospect.

Now 12-0 as a professional, the 26-year-old bantamweight is one to continue to watch as he keeps working forward in the ultra-talented 135-pound weight class. McGhee continued touching up Bolanos in the second, mixing things up with his hands, dropping “The Dreamcatcher” towards the end of the round and staying on top of him to collect the stoppage.

As if bantamweight needs more ascending names, McGhee is clearly an ascending talent to track.

He’s won five straight overall, all by stoppage, and moved to 9-1 with this victory. While he’s a little older than most second-year UFC fighters, he’s proving each time out that he’s a genuine person of interest in the 135-pound weight class. | Official Scorecards

“Semi the Jedi” came out hunting in the third, slinging hands and searching for chokes, but Parsons remained calm throughout, worked free, and reversed things, getting into advantageous positions and being the more effective fighter throughout.

When the scores were totaled, the judges all saw the fight in favor of Parsons, who climbed to 2-2 in the UFC with the victory and 11-4 overall. The 28-year-old is relentless in the Octagon and deserving of the nickname “Pressure” after a performance like this one. | Official Scorecards

Arlovski did well to mix in jabs and low kicks, and roll with a lot of the shots coming his way, but his output was limited and his Dominican foe simply landed the more telling blows in every round.

After finishing 2023 with a knockout win, Cortes-Acosta kept things moving in a position direction with a second straight victory and fourth win in five UFC appearances. He’s continuing to improve each time out, and if the 32-year-old former baseball player can straighten out some of his looping shots, he could become an even more formidable force in the big boy division. | Official Scorecards

Just when it seemed like he might make it to the end of the round, Ferreira connected with a left that put Hawes on the canvas, with the follow-up blows prompting the stoppage.

Ferreira was bounced from the ranks of the unbeaten last time out, but showed again here that despite his diminutive stature for the division, “The Hulk” is still a power threat at middleweight. While Simon had his moments, Bautista was always quick to respond and seize control of the fight once again, attacking with strikes to all levels and scrambling back to his feet quickly whenever he was taken down.

When the scores were added up, all three judges had it the same way, awarding Bautista his sixth straight victory. A place in the rankings and another step up in competition is likely in the future for the ascending 30-year-old, who is now 8-2 in the UFC and 13-2 overall. | Official Scorecards
