UFC, The World's Premiere Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Releases The Findings Of An Economic Impact Study From UFC 312: Du Plessis vs Strickland 2
The Octagon returned once again to Qudos Bank Arena with a two titles on the line at UFC 312: Du Plessis vs Strickland 2.
The action saw middleweight Dricus du Plessis defend his title against former opponent Sean Strickland, as well as strawweight queen Zhang Weili showing her power once again, picking up a dominant victory over Tatiana Suarez.
Australia was well represented when Jimmy Crute, Jack Matthews, Tom Nolan and a handful of others stepped into the Octagon in Sydney. This event marked the city's seventh UFC event, and was the first time the promotion had been in Sydney since 2023.
Once again, Sydney showed up for the event with over 50 percent of ticket holders coming from New South Wales, with Queensland holding the second highest at 16.2 percent.

The event also set a record for gate revenue, generating $12.3 million AUD ($7.7million USD), becoming the most lucrative indoor arena event in Australian history.
