UFC 293 Delivers Economic Impact Of Over $55 Million
UFC, The World's Premiere Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Releases The Findings Of An Economic Impact Study From UFC 293: Adesanya vs Strickland In Sydney
On September 9, the Octagon touched down in Sydney once again for UFC 293: Adesanya vs Strickland, with Sean Strickland pulling off one of the biggest upsets in promotional history to become the middleweight champion.
The card featured a variety of athletes from New Zealand and Australia such as Tai Tuivasa, Carlos Ulberg and Tyson Pedro.
Over 18,000 people packed into Qudos Bank Arena for the event, drawing visitors from across Australia, as well many international visitors coming from New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom. Over 50 percent of ticket holders came from New South Wales, with the city of Sydney housing more than 10,800 out of town attendees during fight week.
