TICKETS FOR UFC® 164 HARLEY-DAVIDSON HOMETOWN THROWDOWN: HENDERSON vs. GRANT AT BMO HARRIS BRADLEY CENTER ON SALE FRIDAY, JUNE 21

Las Vegas, Nev. – The legendary Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC) Octagon® is set to ride into Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Bradley Center for the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration, giving fans of the two all-American heavyweight brands an opportunity to witness one of the hardest-hitting live events of the year – UFC® 164 Harley-Davidson Hometown Throwdown.

The organization formally announced today that undisputed UFC® lightweight champion “Smooth” Benson Henderson will defend his title against dangerous Canadian No. 1 contender TJ Grant in the main event of UFC 164 on August 31.

“We’re celebrating the Harley Davidson 110th anniversary in Milwaukee with the lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson and TJ Grant, who’s won five straight fights,” UFC President Dana White said. “Plus, we have two former UFC heavyweight champions squaring off when Frank Mir takes on Josh Barnett. It’s going to be a big week in Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson and the UFC!”

Having bested Frankie Edgar (twice), Donald Cerrone (twice), Gilbert Melendez and Nate Diaz, Henderson (18-2) looks to extend his perfect record inside the Octagon and further cement his status as one of the sport’s pound-for-pound best. After a successful run in the UFC welterweight division, Grant (21-5) made the move to lightweight in 2011 and has found his rhythm to the tune of five consecutive wins over top competition. After knocking out heavily favored Gray Maynard at UFC 160 in May, Grant has no problem assuming the underdog role yet again as he attempts to dethrone the lightweight king.

In addition to the Henderson-Grant showdown, Frank Mir (16-7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nev.) meets “The Warmaster” Josh Barnett (32-6, fighting out of Fullerton, Calif.) in a battle of former UFC heavyweight champions that fans have been dreaming of for nearly a decade.
