Five years after their first meeting at lightweight in 2010, current featherweight contenders Nik Lentz and Thiago Tavares will battle it once more in a UFC Fight Night bout on February 14 in Broomfield, Colorado.
In the main event at 1st Bank Center, Matt Brown faces Tarec Saffiedine.
On January 11, 2010, Lentz and Tavares fought for the first time in Fairfax, Virginia, with a majority draw verdict being rendered after three rounds. Since then, both fighters have moved 10 pounds south to featherweight, where Lentz sits in the number nine spot after winning four of his last five. Tavares, a more recent addition to the weight class, won his debut at 145 pounds in August, earning Performance of the Night honors for his first-round submission of Robbie Peralta.
