The Ultimate Fighting Championship® returns to Sacramento when newly-crowned UFC® lightweight champion Anthony Pettis makes his first title defense against San Jose’s Josh Thomson on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Sleep Train Arena. In advance of UFC® on FOX: PETTIS vs. THOMSON, the stars of the main card, along with UFC president Dana White, will host a press conference at Sleep Train Arena on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. PT. The press conference is free and open to the public, and will also be streamed live at UFC.com.
In addition to the lightweight championship bout, UFC® on FOX: PETTIS vs. THOMSON showcases local talent as Sacramento’s own Urijah Faber squares off against Modesto native Michael McDonald in the co-main event of the evening. Also representing Sacramento, Chad Mendes faces top-ranked contender Nik Lentz, who remains undefeated in the featherweight division. Plus, former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit will collide with Matt Brown, a winner of six straight.
Tickets for UFC® on FOX: PETTIS vs. THOMSON will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. PT.
