Rongzhu leaned on his superior speed and diversity of attacks, chopping at the lead leg of Hubbard in the opening round and snapping home clean punches throughout. The resilient American did well to up his output and wrestle more in the second, but Rongzhu came out pressing in the third, taking the fight to Hubbard and landing the more meaningful shots throughout.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of Rongzhu, who picked up his second win of the year. The 25-year-old continued to show improvements in his second stint with the promotion, and is an intriguing figure to track going forward in the 155-pound weight class.

Kyle Daukaus turned his first fight back in the UFC into a blistering knockout, catching Michel Pereira with a quick right hook in the initial exchange, dropping the Brazilian and pounding out the finish.

After registering four wins on the regional circuit following his release, Daukaus kicked in the door in his return to the Octagon, picking up his first UFC victory in more than three-and-a-half years.

The first left hand Yi threw landed flush and backed Wilson up. As the broadcast team mentioned Wilson needing to get his guard up, Yi continued to fire rockets on that same side, connecting with force and leaving the lanky featherweight slumped along the fence.

A two-time Road to UFC tournament finalist and Season 2 tournament winner, this was a breakout performance for the 28-year-old Yi. After suffering a decision loss to Gabriel Santos in his promotional debut last time out, this was one of the most impressive rebound wins in recent memory and an emotional moment for the talented Chinese featherweight.

Satybaldiev, who debuted at heavyweight on short notice and gave a good account of himself, returned to the 205-pound ranks and took it to Nurgozhay, dropping him along the fence early before starting to chase submissions. After losing a deep kimura, the former LFA champ transitioned into Nurgozhay’s guard and attacked with an Ezekiel choke, forcing the tap.

This was an outstanding performance for Satybaldiev, who was bounced from the ranks of the unbeaten last time out. The 31-year-old from Kyrgyzstan is an intriguing addition to the light heavyweight division, and is one to watch going forward.
