Fresh from a close loss to Will Brooks last Friday, Ross Pearson will make a quick turnaround to face Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight bout on July 30 in Atlanta.
The change came after Siyar Bahadurzada was removed from his originally scheduled bout against Masvidal.
UFC 201, which takes place at Philips Arena, is headlined by the welterweight championship fight between Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley. The card airs live on Pay-Per-View.
A former Ultimate Fighter winner who has been a longtime standout at 155 pounds, the always exciting Pearson will test the waters at 170 to face Florida's Masvidal, a veteran competitor eager to snap a two-fight skid where he has lost split decisions to Benson Henderson and Lorenz Larkin.
