Giving up quiet life, Bagautinov earns UFC title bout By: Dave Deibert, The Star Phoenix
"There was nothing wrong with the life Ali Bagautinov was living. It was … fine.
"Nothing wrong with his job as an accountant for a financial firm in his homeland of Dagestan. It was an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.
"Nothing wrong with supporting his family, either. It was quite honourable, in fact, coming after the death of his father, when his loved ones needed him the most.
"He looked at it from a rational perspective. Though Bagautinov showed great promise in his teens as a wrestler, how far could he go trying to make a living in combat sports, be it wrestling, sambo or mixed martial arts?"
