Monday Fight Updates - August 3

Highly-regarded featherweight prospects Yair Rodriguez and Dan Hooker will collide in a UFC 192 bout at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Saturday, October 3.

Fresh from two UFC wins over Leonard Morales and Charles Rosa that earned him the TUF Latin America crown and a Fight of the Night award, respectively, Mexico's Rodriguez will seek his third Octagon victory when he faces New Zealand's Hooker, whose recent knockout of Hatsu Hioki in May saw him win Performance of the Night honors.

“I see a tough opponent who I will have a very fierce fight with," Rodriguez said. "I think we're going to hurt each other. I’ve always liked challenges. I am still a novice in the UFC, but I always go to war, and I like to put on something that people like."

Tickets for UFC 192, which is headlined by the UFC light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson, are on sale now. Also scheduled for the card is another important light heavyweight showdown, as Rashad Evans returns to face Ryan Bader.

In other bouts made official on Monday, the UFC's return to Dublin, Ireland on October 24 has added two more intriguing matchups, with local hero Cathal Pendred facing off with Tom Breese in a welterweight fight, and Scott Askham meeting Krzysztof Jotko in middleweight action.

Tickets for UFC FIGHT NIGHT DUBLIN, which takes place at The 3Arena, will go on sale to UFC FIGHT CLUB members at 10:00 a.m. IST on Wednesday September 2 with Sun+ subscribers also getting priority access from 12:00 p.m. IST on Wednesday.
