Back in Las Vegas and looking to get back on track to kick off 2015, longtime lightweight standout Gray Maynard will return to the scene of one of his biggest victories, the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, on April 4 to face Russia's Alexander Yakovlev.
Maynard's last bout in Fairfax was on January 11, 2010, when he defeated Nate Diaz. Since then, Maynard has challenged for the 155-pound world title twice, but has also been on a three-fight losing streak that he hopes to snap against Yakovlev, a 30-year-old veteran making his UFC lightweight debut.
