Returning to the Octagon for the first time since April of 2013, "Filthy" Tom Lawlor will do so as a light heavyweight on Saturday, July 25, as he takes on New York's Gian Villante at United Center in Chicago.
The FOX UFC Fight Night card is headlined by the long-awaited rematch between UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and former titleholder Renan Barao.
Long Island's Villante is showing the most exciting form of his career, winning back-to-back Fight of the Night awards in his victories over Sean O'Connell and Corey Anderson. No stranger to post-fight bonuses, former middleweight standout Lawlor has won Fight, Knockout and Submission of the Night awards during his nearly seven-year UFC career, and in his first fight since submitting Michael Kuiper in 2013, he looks to get that momentum going again.
