Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler wants to 'prove you wrong ... again' at UFC 189 By Brad Popkin, mmamania.com
Robbie Lawler feels he needs to take care of a little "unfinished business" in UFC 189's co-main event, put an exclamation point on the rematch to avoid a potential trilogy fight.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight titleholder is set to make his first title defense against the man he previously bested via split-decision at UFC 167 in Nov. 2013, Rory MacDonald. "Ruthless" earned a shot at the 170-pound crown with the victory over "Canadian Psycho," and eventually won it in a close contest over Johny Hendricks at UFC 181 in Dec. 2014.
He will now aim for a more definitive win over the striking tactician MacDonald, even though he is somehow currently considered the sportsbook underdog.
