Jose Aldo stakes claim as MMA pound for pound king

By Gareth Davies, Telegraph - Jose Aldo wastes little and appears to lay waste to every opponent. The WEC featherweight champion dominated Urijah Faber at WEC 48, and staked a viable claim as the leading pound for pound fighter in the sport.

The Brazilian’s chosen method of destruction in this contest was leg kicks, until by the fourth and fifth rounds, he was in cruise control. He won by unanimous decision 49-45, 49-45 and 50-45. It marked the first time WEC was placed on pay-per-view. Anyone who paid for it will not have been disappointed. It was a thrilling event from top to bottom, the little men of MMA showing that speed increases massively down the weight scale.
