Irvin Tests Positive for Banned Substances, Faces Suspension and Fine

A post-fight urinalysis has revealed that light heavyweight James Irvin tested positive for the banned substances Methadone and Oxymorphone following his first round knockout loss to Anderson Silva at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on July 19th. Irvin, who has 20 days to respond to these results, faces a possible fine and suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
