Longtime lightweight and featherweight contender Clay Guida has fought everywhere from Japan and Mexico to Northern Ireland and Abu Dhabi, but on November 7, he will make the trip to Brazil for the first time, as he battles Thiago Tavares in a UFC Fight Night matchup at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo.
UFC Fight Night, which is headlined by the rubber match between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson, airs live on FOX Sports 1.
Winner of three of five bouts since moving to 145 pounds, "The Carpenter" is coming off an April win over Robbie Peralta as he heads to South America to face Florianopolis' Tavares, who is 1-1 at 145 pounds, with a Performance of the Night submission of Peralta and a Fight of the Night loss to Brian Ortega.
