Forrest Asks Fans to Help Cool Vegas Kids

In the midst of record highs in the blistering Las Vegas summer, one of the UFC's favorite partners has been burglarized.

The air conditioners at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas' Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse, which serves 150 children every day, were stripped by thieves, rendering half of the building unusable in the summer heat (read more). The damage is estimated at more than $20,000.

UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin, who now works in the community relations department of the UFC, has made replacing the air conditioners one of his first priorities in his new role. He reminds fans that they can also contribute -- money, time or supplies -- to the Boys & Girls Club at BGCLV.org.

The UFC has partnered with Boys & Girls Club previously for health workshops, mentoring events and other drives to benefit the youth served by the organization.
