With former UFC heavyweight champions Frank Mir and Andrei Arlovski surging back into title contention, the dream fight fans have wanted to see for over a decade will become a reality on September 5 when the two veteran stars meet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a pivotal UFC 191 matchup.
Tickets for UFC 191, which is headlined by the flyweight championship rematch between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson, are on sale now to UFC Fight Club members and UFC newsletter subscribers. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am PT on Friday, July 31.
In 2004, Mir won the UFC heavyweight title, but a serious motorcycle accident sidelined the Las Vegan and forced him to be stripped of his crown. Arlovski won that crown in 2005, and while the paths of the two heavyweight standouts never crossed, with Mir winning two straight (both by knockout) and Arlovski unbeaten in five in a row, the time is right for an epic battle.
