Eternal MMA Hosts Milestone Events On November 14 And November 15

Australian MMA Promotion Eternal MMA, Proving Grounds For Welterweight Champ Jack Della Maddalena And Other Australian Standouts, Puts On 100th And 101st Events

Before he ascended to the throne of the welterweight division, Jack Della Maddalena cut his teeth on the regional scene, including at Eternal MMA, the promotion founded by Cam O’Neill, which has been hosted on UFC FIGHT PASS since Eternal 48 in October 2019. That card featured familiar faces to UFC fans, including Della Maddalena, Casey O’Neill, Jacob Malkoun and Kevin Jousset.

Since then, Eternal MMA has produced 21 athletes who graced the Octagon, including 10 fighters currently on the roster. In addition to Della Maddalena, fellow Eternal alumnus Steve Erceg challenged for UFC gold when he fought and pushed flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja to the brink at UFC 301.

Ahead of Della Maddalena’s first title defense against No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter Islam Makhachev, Eternal MMA hosts a pair of landmark events: Eternal MMA 100 and 101, on November 14 and 15, respectively, both hosted at Southport Sharks in Australia’s Gold Coast.

At Eternal MMA 100, welterweights headline the action as knockout artists Nate Law and Jackson Weir-White collide. Law earned each of his three professional wins via knockout while the undefeated Weir-White has finished all of his fights inside two rounds, including a recent 10-second knockout at Eternal 96. Before their main event, featherweights Tasar Malone and Oscar Marlow lock horns as Marlow looks to prove himself a real force at 145 pounds against a promotional veteran, and bantamweights Shaun Etchell and Sam Hibberd meet for a second time after their epic clash four years ago in which Etchell outdueled Hibberd to become Eternal’s first 2-weight champion.

The next day at Eternal MMA 101, the card looks to the future of Australian MMA. Featherweights Justin Van Heerden and George Mangos run it back after Mangos epic last-second submission ended their first bout in memorable fashion. With Van Heerden maintaining the fight’s conclusion was a fluke, he’ll have a chance to prove as much while Mangos hopes to put that narrative to bed in style. Ahead of that fight, welterweights Loni Filimoehala and Conor Downey meet in an intriguing No. 1 contender matchup, and flyweights Kotone Tada and Michael Alsop faceoff in what should be a well-rounded contest.

You can catch all of the action from Eternal MMA 100 and Eternal MMA 101 this Friday and Saturday, from 6pm AEDT on UFC FIGHT PASS.
