EA Sports UFC 5 Content Update | August 2025

With four new fighters added to the roster, fans can step into the Octagon with a mix of proven veterans, former champions, and a rising global submission specialist.

Kelvin Gastelum, the TUF 17 winner, makes his return with the gritty boxing and durability that turned him into a fan favorite. After winning the show in 2013 as its youngest victor, Gastelum quickly drove through the UFC ranks and nearly captured gold in a legendary five-round battle against Israel Adesanya. With a professional record of 20-10 (1NC), Gastelum is still actively competing in the UFC and brings that same fearless style to UFC 5.

Michael Chiesa, winner of TUF 15, enters the game with the tactical grappling that defined his run across two different weight divisions. Known for his control-heavy ground game, Chiesa racked up notable wins over Neil Magny, Tony Ferguson, and Rafael dos Anjos on his way to becoming a top welterweight contender. With a 19-7 record, Chiesa’s addition to UFC 5 brings a submission-based approach to the virtual Octagon.

Carla Esparza, the first UFC strawweight champion and TUF 20 winner, joins the roster with her trademark wrestling style. Esparza made history in 2014 by winning the first ever UFC strawweight title, then shocked the world by reclaiming the same belt in 2022 in a razor-thin decision against Rose Namajunas. Esparza retired from competition in 2024 with a career record of 20-8, but players can now relive her journey in UFC 5.

Fresh off a hard-fought victory in his first UFC main event against Robert Whittaker, Reinier de Ridder rounds out the update as an addition to the active fighter roster. The Dutch submission artist is a two-division champion outside of UFC and recently improved his overall record to 21-2 (4-0 in UFC). Known for his calm demeanor inside the Octagon, “The Dutch Knight” brings elite grappling credentials and slick submissions to UFC 5.
