Dos Anjos vs. Ferguson to Headline in Mexico City

Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos will begin his road back to the crown on Saturday, November 5, when he faces the No. 3-ranked Tony Ferguson in a five-round main event bout at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City.

The 155-pound showdown headlines the UFC’s fourth event in Mexico, and also features the finals of The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3. FOX Sports 1 will televise the card, and tickets go on sale on September 2.

Currently ranked second at 155 pounds, Brazil’s Dos Anjos won five straight over the likes of Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson before an upset loss to Eddie Alvarez in July cost him his title. Hungry to get his belt back, Dos Anjos can make a statement with a win over former Ultimate Fighter winner Ferguson. Showing the best form of his career, California’s “El Cucuy” is on an eight-fight winning streak that includes wins over Edson Barboza, Josh Thomson and Abel Trujillo, as well as six post-fight bonuses.
