WE TALKED TO FORREST GRIFFIN ON THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF 'THE MOST IMPORTANT' UFC FIGHT EVER

"It’s crazy to think that the Finale of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter happened ten years ago today.
"Like most originals, the first season still remains the most beloved by the majority of MMA fans. The combination of talent, characters, drama, ridiculous challenges and the fights themselves made for a memorable experience. Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, appearing as coaches, were put in to sweeten the deal and it paid off in what Dana White refers to as ‘the most important fight in the history of the company.’
"Nothing sticks out about the inaugural season as much as the classic light heavyweight final that pitted Forrest Griffin against Stephan Bonnar. The UFC president’s face lights up about every time he talks about it, much like in his introduction for Griffin and Bonnar when they were inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame in 2013.
"'This was the most important fight in the history of this company. At the time when this fight happened, you know where we were back then, you know where we were and you know what was happening,' White remembered."
