Following an injury suffered by TUF 19 finalist Matt Van Buren, the UFC debut of unbeaten light heavyweight Jonathan Wilson on August 8 in Nashville will now take place against Jared Cannonier.
The UFC Fight Night card, which is headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Glover Teixeira, will be televised live on FOX Sports 1 from the Bridgestone Arena.
With a 6-0 pro record, California's Wilson has built a solid reputation on the local circuit, with five of his wins coming by way of knockout. Alaska's Cannonier, 7-1, will be looking to get in the UFC win column for the first time after getting stopped by Shawn Jordan in his debut in January.
