Intriguing matchups continue to be added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Stockholm, Sweden, as top-notch featherweight prospects Mirsad Bektic and Alan Omer will collide at the Tele2 Arena on Saturday, January 24.
Germany's Omer, 4-1 in his last five, is eager to put his close split decision loss to Jim Alers in April behind him by delivering a spectacular finish for his European fans.
"Mirsad is going to receive the beating of his life," Omer predicted. "I’m coming to Stockholm to knock him out."
The unbeaten Bektic, a native of Bosnia now making his home in Florida, was equally confident of victory, especially following his debut UFC win over Chas Skelly in April.
"Everybody in the featherweight division will be training bright and early Monday morning after they see my fight," Bektic said. "I’m really excited to fight in Stockholm, at the biggest event in Europe ever and second biggest event in UFC history. it’s going to be epic.”
