Dana White's Contender Series, Season 9

Episode 10 (10/14/25) Valenzuela was stopped by Michael Oliveira via strikes at 3:56 of the second round

When and why did you start training for fighting? It's the fight of my life, I did everything in my power to achieve victory.

What professional titles have you held? Fury FC Interim Champion

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Wako World Cup Champion in 2014, Wako Pan American Champion in 2017

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Black Belt in BJJ

Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines? Black Belt in Kickboxing, Brown Belt in Karate

What does it mean to you to fight in the UFC? Since I was very young, it’s been my dream to fight in the biggest event in the world, which is the UFC. I’m fulfilling my dream.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Daniel Cormier, because of his versatility.

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? With myself, every day striving to be better than the day before.

Is there a cause you’d like to use your platform for? No specific cause, but I’d like to motivate kids from my neighborhood to persevere in their dreams, have faith in God, and know that with hard work, dreams come true.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied kinesiology, I was one year away from finishing my degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? I've worked as a supermarket packer, unloading trucks, and delivering food. Recently, I've been teaching classes. And I've also done odd weekend jobs.

Favorite grappling technique: Armbar

Favorite striking technique: Spinning kick

Origin of nickname: The truth is that it has no relation to fights. When I was little I liked to paint and scratch in the street, and I chose Psicosis to scratch and paint in the street.

Personal Life / Background: In recent years, I’ve been training in Miami. I share a place with my wife, who is also a fighter, and we train almost full-time. When we can, we like to spend time at the beach. When I have the chance to travel to Chile, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Going out to eat is my favorite hobby. I am the oldest of 7 siblings, and I was raised by my grandparents and two of my siblings.

What’s one thing you want UFC fans around the world to know about you? I come from the end of the world, from Chile, chasing my dream. I’ve worked hard through ups and downs, but my faith in God remains strong. Today I thank God for rewarding me with this opportunity.
