Road To UFC, Season 4 Semifinals (8/22/25) Saeteurn makes his UFC debut against Nyamjargal Tumendemberel

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started wrestling when I was 9, thanks to my uncle. Then, in 2018, I began training in MMA, boxing, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu. Watching my first UFC fight at 9 made me realize I wanted to be a fighter.

What professional titles have you held? I currently hold the A1 Combat Flyweight title.

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? As an amateur, I was a California state champion, 559 Fights champion, Bay Area Combat champion, SF Combat champion, and Panda Cup champion.

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? I was recently promoted to brown belt in jiu-jitsu.

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My toughest fight was against Keanu Moyer. I was losing the fight up until I finished him with a body shot. It forced me to dig deep and find a way to win.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Demetrious Johnson is my favorite because of his masterful performances, his clean striking, movement, grappling, and how he ties everything together.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a mix room operator for Toray Advanced Composites before I started fighting.

Origin of nickname: My coach gave me the nickname after my 2nd amateur fight. He looked at me and said, “Wrong Turn,” meaning when someone takes a fight with me, they took a wrong turn. It just stuck from there.

Personal Life / Background: I would never have started training or fighting if it wasn’t for my Uncle Johnny. He’s the reason I fell in love with combat sports. He believed in me when others said I was too small or too skinny. He spoke to the winner in me before I even knew I was a winner, and I’ll forever be grateful for him introducing me to combat sports.

Who are 3 people you'd love to meet or work with? I’d love to meet Demetrious Johnson, Janay Harding, and Joe Rogan.

What are your hobbies, activities, or other interests when not training for a fight? I enjoy drinking beer, eating noodles, punching faces, playing video games, and hanging out with friends and family.
