When and why did you start training for fighting? I thought I was more athletic than others. I wanted to make use of my talent and be recognized. I wanted to be a fighter with excellent skills that are recognized by the world, only by my talent and my efforts.

What ranks and titles have you held? I was champion at four different fight promotions – Naiza, Deep, Zeus and Black Combat. Road to UFC bantamweight tournament winner

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career?  I believe this fight is the most important one. For me, the fight right in front of me is always the most important. I need to win this one to continue growing and reaching the next level.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter is Merab Dvalishvili. I really admire his passion, his never-give-up fighting style, and the way he treats everyone with kindness. His energy and work ethic are very inspiring to me.

Do you have any heroes? Conor McGregor

What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is the greatest achievement that I can achieve. It's the biggest motivation for me, my team and family.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? At the moment, I don’t have a specific social cause. My main focus is representing my country and inspiring people through my performances.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you?  I have a baby who is almost one year old. I want to be a father my child can be proud of — someone who shows that taking on challenges is something honorable and meaningful.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was jobless.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? I was undefeated as an amateur and never went to a decision

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: Outside of fighting, I simply enjoy traveling with my family, eating good food, and spending quality time together.
