UFC Fight Night (8/22/26) Dorsainvil won a three round unanimous decision over Gauge Young

When and why did you start training? Did karate for a bit as a kid and left, then I started up at my current BJJ school at 17 years old. My dad was obsessed with martial arts growing up, I loved anime and the idea of fighting/ getting stronger, and to impress girls (didn’t work)

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? I’m grateful for the opportunity, definitely a big part of my dream but it’s just the beginning

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Black belt BJJ, wanna get a black belt in karate or Taekwondo, 2x amateur champ

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Of all time Muhammad Ali because of the confidence he had and the things he did aside from just fighting, but currently Max Holloway (the best is blessed) he’s just a dawg and willing to fight anyone

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Probably my Mom (she’s the goat)

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career? LFA against Cedric Katambwa let me know that I wasn’t just all hype, and I can hang in there with the best of ‘em

Beyond money or a championship, what motivates you? God, my family, my teammates and all the people who don’t believe in themselves or think they’re worth anything

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I am currently in college and have an associates degree in arts, was pursuing a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering but didn’t like it and was skipping class to go train

What was your job before you started fighting? Working at Publix and now I work at Home Depot (Funny cause I’m the Drill)

Favorite grappling technique: Guillotine (Drillotine)

Favorite Striking technique: Spinning back kick

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: Playing Video games, Watching anime, Eating food, Studying philosophy

What is 1 thing that you want UFC fans round the world to know about you? Pretty chill guy doesn’t take this too seriously except for fighting, values respect in martial arts but will still play around, I’m not cocky I’m just confident (it’s just how I fight I swear)
