When and why did you start training for fighting? I started at 12 in a social project in Lambari-MG, my hometown. I was trying to lose weight and change my lifestyle

What professional titles have you held? I have several wins in the Brazilian circuit and a successful international fight in FFC

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Brown Belt in BJJ

Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines? Muay Thai - Blue With Black Tip Strip

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My fight against Nathan Oliveira in Spartacus MMA. It was my fifth fight and it was a bloody war. It tested my spirit and I grew up a lot mentally after that win.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? It's Jennifer Maia. She is my coach and she was always a great example of discipline and hard work. it's a great inspiration to share the gym with her

What was your job before you started fighting? I never had a actual job. Sometimes I worked as a security in night clubs, delivery of newspaper and also served in a hotdog van.

Origin of nickname: My coach Ed Monstro told me that I transform myself in the cage. Outside the cage I'm very calm and polite person, but inside the cage I transform into a beast.

Personal Life / Background (family stuff, kids, etc): I come from the countryside of Minas Gerais, from a simple and small town. With this opportunity, I seek to provide a better quality of life for my family, and especially for my wife, who is with me in all the battles of daily life

What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? I like to stay with my family and friends
