Biggest difference in training for this fight? Nothing, because I stay ready to fight and am always training.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training when I was 14 years old with my idol Dennis Brown, who was a local pro fighter in the area.
What professional titles have you held? King of the Cage champion, Bellator world champion.
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? 11-0 undefeated as an amateur, ISKA national bantamweight champion.
Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Black belt in BJJ under Harry St. Leger
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My toughest to date was my only loss of my career against Juan Archuleta
Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter would have to be Jon Jones or Alexander Volkanovski.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No – I only wanted to fight after a semester.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a roofer before I started fighting. Veterans Roofing all day, then train at night. Eventually my boss told me to chase the dream and don’t come back.
Origin of nickname: I was named by my grandfather as a child. He was the man that raised me.
