When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training MMA in 2015. I had my first MMA fight in 2016. Before that, I had five smoker-style boxing matches and that was before knowing what MMA was. I really only had six months of boxing training. Once I saw an MMA fight, I was really intrigued by the ground aspect of fighting. I'm not really sure why I started training at first. I am very competitive and have done sports all my life, but seeing combat sports, something just drew me in. There's something different about fighting than other sports. It's raw, real, and such a pure form of competition. It's honestly really beautiful.
What ranks and titles have you held? I've been the #1 female fighter in MT for quite some time. Fusion Fight League Strawweight Champion, BJJ purple belt
Do you have any heroes? Definitely my Dad, Marty Mann.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? UFC has been the goal of mine since the beginning. I know I have what it takes to fight at the highest level and I'm so grateful for the experience and opportunity to show who I am.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Not really. Right after high school, I went to college for a year-and-a-half for personal training with the idea of wanting to be a personal trainer. I did all the required classes and received my certificate. After getting it, I realized I didn't want to do that at that time in my life. Maybe later down the road, but for now, I want to focus on me.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a waitress for eight years, even through fighting up until this past year-and-a-half when we moved to Bozeman. My fiancé got a really good paying job and wanted me to focus just on training to see where we can go with this.
