When and why did you start training for fighting? I turned pro in 2014

What ranks and titles have you held? TKO World Light Heavyweight champion. #1 ranked middleweight and light heavyweight in Canada. TKO World middleweight champion

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Blue belt in BJJ, I focus on my MMA game - I must be a third degree black belt in the clinch and dirty boxing game lol...

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a dream come true. I worked so hard all these years, climbed the steps one by one, winning titles in TKO and now I am finally signed by the UFC.

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? My last fight against Shara Bullet showed the world I can compete against the best in the sport, but my last fight in Montreal was also very special for me because I had my back against the wall and I delivered one of my best performances ever.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Max Holloway because of all his fighting skills, the way he approaches the sport, hes self aware and his experience teaches us all a lesson.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? There are a lot of people I look up to, but growing up my idol was Tiger Woods, a great athlete and I love the way he handles the pressure in his own sport.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Im very touched by causes that are related to animals rights and shelters. I’m a dog lover.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? The freedom of being a pro fighter, and to always give a good performance for my fans, my team and myself. I want to be recognized as a simple, good human being who always gives his best.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a cook in a Quebec City hospital

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I’m married to my lovely wife Bianka, we have two amazing dogs: Nash and Nixon. Our hobbies are overall well-being lifestyle, wellness. I also enjoy cooking, I’m actually a certified chef from back in Canada, so can consider ourselves foodies. We also spend some time looking at what we will do after fighting, we already run a few air-bnb here in Florida.

Like I said earlier, when everything is said and done, I want the fans to remember me as a warrior who always left everything in the cage. I’m pretty sure fans have noticed that outside of the sport, I’m a very humble and simple human being that loves to share his passions.
