Dana White's Contender Series, Season 9

Episode 10 (10/14/25) Rodrigues Jr. and Freddy Vidal fought to a no contest

When and why did you start training for fighting? I was a hyperactive kid at school, and my psychologist recommended I start practicing sports. I was 12 years old.

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Three championship belts.

Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines? Blue Belt in BJJ

Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines? Yes, black belt in Muay Thai.

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? Probably my fourth professional MMA fight — I was coming back from an injury after almost two years off. I fought at heavyweight against a guy who weighed 120 kg. It was a big challenge.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Anderson Silva, because since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of being like him.

What was your job before you started fighting? Worked at a tire shop, as a security guard, Uber driver, and construction worker.

Origin of nickname: At my old gym in Atibaia, under Master Mori, a coach from Rio de Janeiro gave me this nickname after a sparring session. He said I looked like a baby but hit like a monster — he left that session with 12 stitches on his lip!

Personal Life / Background: I’m married and the father of two kids.

What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? Playing guitar and drums, running, spending time with my wife and kids, going out, and enjoying good food.

Please list any other information you think is relevant for our broadcasting team: I’m undefeated, with a 7-0 amateur MMA record — all first-round knockouts. I’ve been a multiple-time Muay Thai champion, earning several belts since my debut in 2013. I also competed extensively in kickboxing, winning many medals before moving to MMA in 2021 in pursuit of greater recognition. All of my fights in my amateur and professional career in Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Boxing and MMA have ended with me winning by KO.
