When and why did you start training for fighting? I saw The Ultimate Fighter on TV and I was hooked.



What ranks and titles have you held? I placed third at State for wrestling in high school (160 pound division), I won the Tuff-n-Uff featherweight title belt, and I recently received my purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu



Do you have any heroes? My mom, Jesus Christ, and Dave Chappelle



What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC means that all the hard work I put in meant something. It feels nice to be validated after 10 years of hard work.



Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I’m currently finishing up a degree in political science at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I plan on pursuing a degree in teaching or selling out and going to law school.



What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a busboy before I started fighting. Now I teach children's Jiu-Jitsu.
