UFC Fight Night (10/17/26) Faglier makes his UFC debut against Javad Mahjoub

Thoughts on your opponent? Very strong and explosive wrestling/judo. Good grappling with quick submission attempts.

What have you been working on this fight camp? Striking, counter wrestling.

Who are your main training partners? Jason Faglier Jr., Malcolm Wellmaker, Quincey Evans Jr.

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? This means everything to me. I have dreamed of this my whole life. In the 2nd grade I wrote that I wanted to be a UFC fighter when I grow up. The teacher told me we had to write something realistic. I am so thankful that this is really happening and I feel blessed.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training when I was 4. My dad was a fighter and so were my older brothers.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Fedor, Daniel Cormier, and Cain Velasquez. They all had the ability to bring a high pace and high level of skill at the heavyweight division.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting?  My father and brother Jason

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Black belt in Kempo Karate and black belt in BJJ

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? 6-0 with 5 finishes

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? My last fight with UFC vet Cody East. That fight pushed me three hard rounds against someone who has fought at the highest level.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? My faith in Christ is the most important to me.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I lost my son Joel Jr at 25 weeks. He was stillborn 8/20/2025. Other than fighting, all I wanted is a family. Losing my son was the hardest thing ever. I thought I was passing on my name to him. Now I gotta make it remembered for the both of us

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Brewton-Parker College where I earned a degree in History with a minor in Christian studies.

What was your job before you started fighting? I still work in Junk Removal

Favorite grappling technique: Kimura

Favorite Striking technique: Elbows

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I have a beautiful wife, Jorie, and another baby boy on the way. We have a pitbull named Renzo, after Renzo Gracie. I love fishing.
