UFC Fight Night (4/18/26) Siraj was stopped by John Yannis via strikes at 2:43 of the first round

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It’s a lifelong dream and 17 years of dedication culminated into one moment. It is finally my turn to go after my life long goal of being UFC champion.

When and why did you start training for fighting? My life at home was very dark and I needed an outlet. Throughout that I realized how much it was truly my calling.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Jose Aldo. I remember watching him in the WEC days flying knee Cub Swanson and modeled my game after him, everything is done perfect.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? I don’t really idolize anybody; we are all just people at the end of the day.

What are your current ranks in martial arts? No. 1 featherweight in Canada, former Battlefield Fight League champion, former Unified MMA champion and former Tuff-N-Uff champion

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Three-division champion.

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? My Tuff-N-Uff title win. I got brought in to lose to a massive favourite and I stopped him in the fifth round and it proved to me I can be one of the greats.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Belief! I’ve had every reason to quit; from being on my deathbed multiple times to doing many fights just to even be considered, I started from a place of self belief when nobody else did.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? My little boy Grayson. Every single day I look at him and my beautiful wife Kaylee and know they depend on me. They’re my rock in life.

Favorite grappling technique: D’arce Choke

Favorite Striking technique: High Kick

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I have the most beautiful wife, Kaylee, who is so supportive and the best mother to our baby boy Grayson, and our life is spent in the gym. All day my wife, who also trains, takes him to the gym with me and we swap when I’m done coaching and training, she goes to train.
