When and why did you start training for fighting? I was an elite athlete my entire upbringing (gymnast). After graduating from Baylor and becoming a 2x All-American in acro and tumbling, I needed to do more, so I started MMA.
What ranks and titles have you held? AKA amateur flyweight champ, Multi-time NAGA champ
Who is your favorite fighter and why? GSP is my forever favorite. I love how he utilized his athletic ability, was a true master of the mix of disciplines, and he always carried himself in and out of the cage to a very respectable standard.
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My parents! They are a perfect example of hard work and dedication. They have pointed my sisters and I to Jesus throughout life and I am beyond thankful for that. They pushed us hard growing up, but always made sure we knew how loved we were.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means that every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears have paid off— and it means I am one step closer to the belt and the dream!
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? My Contender’s fight for sure. It was a great test against a great opponent under great stress.
What are your current ranks in martial arts? Black belt in Texas Redneck fighting
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I’m motivated to succeed for everyone who has believed in me and who has poured into this dream of mine. The village I have is absolutely incredible and I want to do well for them— they have helped me and expected nothing to gain in return and I owe it to them as much as I owe it to me.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Baylor - Journalism - Public Relations / Marketing minor
What was your job before you started fighting? Student athlete (A&T for Baylor)

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I live on a little farm in Texas. My husband and I don’t have any kids yet but we have dogs! We love them to death! My hobbies are and forever will be giving back to the sport that built me— gymnastics. I still coach and always will. I also am very involved in church, both at home in Texas and in Las Vegas.
