When and why did you start training for fighting? I have trained martial arts since age 7, and the transition to MMA was natural.

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? I have many Judo titles: 7-time Brazilian National Champion, medal winner in Grand Slams, Grand Prix and World Cups, 2 time Pan-American Champion.

Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Black belt in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu

Any belts/ ranks in striking disciplines? Light Blue rank in Muay Thai

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career? Every single fight has a history, but without the fight that gave me the opportunity to be here, it would not be possible, so the DWCS fight.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? It's hard to say just one name, I'm a fan of Brazilian athletes so I get three, Charles Oliveira, Demian Maia and Cris Cyborg.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My mother and my sister are the strongest women I know and they inspire me a lot.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Yes, for women. To encourage them to continue conquering more space and have their voice heard and respected.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? Championship, definitely. I believe the money is a consequence. There are certainly less painful ways to earn good money

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Human Resources

What was your job before you started fighting? I have always been an athlete.

Personal Life / Background:  I love being at home relaxing with my husband and my pets. I have two cats and a new family member, a Golden Retriever (6 months) that keeps us very busy. I'm always doing puzzles and making plans to travel to my hometown when I think I'll have time
