UFC Fight Night (7/18/26) Anderson lost a three round unanimous decision to Ezra Elliott

When and why did you start training for fighting? I found jiu jitsu first while in college, but fighting always drew my attention. I'm not sure why, but I love it.

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It means that I get to prove that I'm among the best fighters in the world. If you want to prove you’re the best, the UFC is where you do it.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Demetrious Johnson. He does such a great job mixing the disciplines. It's amazing to see.

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Specific accomplishments in pro competition?100% finish rate in MMA, first person to secure a knockout in Combat Jiu Jitsu

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? My second pro fight. I went against a pro boxer and decided to not use grappling for the first round. I came out of the fight outstriking a professional boxer and ultimately finished him in the second round.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? Showing to everyone that your wildest dreams are possible if you work hard and never give up.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Did 2 years at Rutgers before dropping out.

What was your job before you started fighting? Manager at a Gym

Favorite grappling technique: Rear Naked Choke

Favorite Striking technique: Hook

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I have a wife. We got married last November. We're expecting to have a baby boy.
