When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in June 2020 after COVID cut my final season of junior hockey short. I was a fight fan and decided to start training MMA at Renzo Gracie PEI. I took my first amateur fight in 2022 before turning pro in 2023 and amassing a 7-1 professional record.

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It is still surreal and I am unbelievably excited to put my skills on display for the biggest organization in the world

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Alexander Volkanovski, he is well rounded and well spoken. He lets his performances speak for themselves.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My late coach Matt McGrath, he cornered and coached me up until his passing in January of this year. He taught me the true meaning of work ethic and pushing yourself and what it means to be a good person.

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Fight League Atlantic Welterweight Champion.

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? When I fought and finished my 7th professional opponent on February 7t h   2026, 8 days after losing my coach to cancer.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? To motivate the next generation of athletes, notably from PEI, as I am the first Prince Edward Island born fighter to reach the UFC. Also-Cancer research.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? The constant pursuit of bettering myself and making those around me proud. My coach Matt always told me I would reach the UFC so I want to continue making him proud by living his dream.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I received a BA in Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island with a minor in French Language.

What was your job before you started fighting? I still currently work full time for the Federal Government of Canada.

Favorite grappling technique: D’arce choke

Favorite Striking technique: Straight right hand

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I am an avid golfer who enjoys watching sports and playing pickup hockey during the winter months.
