When and why did you start training for fighting? It’s a dream come true. I’m very thankful for the opportunity.
What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? I started boxing as a kid (12 years old) because my older brother and his friends started going to a boxing gym and I wanted to do everything they did. Then once I started I completely fell in love with the sport of boxing.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Lamar “Kid Fire” Parks; my boxing coach and the man that introduced me to the world of fighting.
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My parents. They’ve sacrificed so much for me to be able to chase my dreams and have always believed in me more than I believed in myself.
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Fury FC strawweight champion
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why?My Fury FC title fight. It put me in the position to go on TUF, which led me here.
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I want to see how I match up against the best in the world. I want to know who I really am and what I’m truly capable of.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No, I didn't go to college. I knew I wanted to fight professionally from a young age.
What was your job before you started fighting? I’ve been coaching MMA & S&C since graduating high school.

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I got married last May. My husband, Ethan, is one of my coaches and main training partners. He’s also a black belt and retired pro MMA fighter. We have a German shepherd named Simba Tyrone. I work at my gym where I’m the kids’ MMA program director.
