When and why did you start training for fighting? I started MMA at 22 years old. I loved fighting and wanted to succeed and make my parents and family live well.
What professional titles have you held? 3X Naiza FC Flyweight Champion
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? 3x Kazakhstan Pankration Champion. Master of Sports in Hand-to-Hand Combat and Pankration.
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? The toughest fight was against Flavio Madruga, defending the belt for 5 rounds.
What fight do you consider to be the key fight of your career and why? My performances on The Ultimate Fighter were key moments on my path toward becoming a UFC fighter.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Georges St-Pierre — because he evolved with every fight and always found his opponents’ weaknesses.
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Every father who works honestly for his family is a hero to me, especially my own father.
