When and why did you start training for fighting? I started fighting eight or nine years ago. On a normal day of training, I stayed with my coach, talking, and he asked me if I liked this sport and I told him, of course, I love this sport; I feel like I found what I was looking for. At that time, I was working in a company where I was doing well with the money. He was an amateur fighter and he said leave everything you have and turn to this. You will be able to live on what you love and you will have enough money for you to be calm with a family. I looked at it so seriously that I did not hesitate a second and I left everything.

Do you have any heroes? No, but I believe a lot in God and his faith.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a very important achievement for me, since I will be in the best company in the world demonstrating my talent and showing everyone that I was born for this, that I will be the best in history, not only a bird of passage, but also the best. I promised my children, wife and parents that I would do everything to have this opportunity so that I can change and improve our lives - the promises are fulfilled.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I didn't go to university because I didn't have money to pay for it.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was dedicated to the sales of phones for a well-known company in Peru.
