UFC® GYM™ in Concord, Calif. Celebrates Successful First Year on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011

UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and Welterweight Star Josh Koscheck to Attend Celebration
Lafayette, California (USA) – In celebration of its first anniversary, UFC® GYM™ in Concord is putting together a can’t-miss event on Jan. 29 beginning at 9am, continuing throughout the day. This is an exciting event for all members, fitness enthusiasts and UFC fans in Northern California. The flagship facility, which is located on 1975 Diamond Boulevard, will welcome UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and welterweight star Josh Koscheck to partake in the festivities.

The full-day event will feature special demonstrations and autograph sessions with UFC fighters, as well as giveaways including tickets to UFC 126, UFC Gym prize packages and more. All members of the community are invited to attend.

In the past year, UFC Gym has taken the fitness industry by storm, introducing a revolutionary way to work out like the best conditioned athletes in the world. The event on Jan. 29 celebrates the impact the fitness brand has made by integrating MMA, innovative fitness training, a nutrition and supplement platform and kids programming under one roof. By focusing on each individual’s specific needs, members experience an atmosphere unlike any other in the fitness world.

“We are really happy with the success the UFC Gym in Concord has had in its first year,” UFC President Dana White said. “UFC Gym is raising the bar in the fitness world and changing the way people approach working out.”

UFC Gym offers a unique youth program, bringing families together in a fun atmosphere. Under this program, parents can get the ultimate workout experience, knowing meanwhile that their children are getting great exercise and learning the importance of health and nutrition. With a wide range of activities for youth, from MMA classes to birthday parties, UFC Gym strives to make health and fitness fun for the whole family.

Fitness experts will be available all day Saturday to provide tours of the facility and answer membership/fitness questions. Saturday marks just one of the exciting events hosted recently at the facility for member and community enjoyment, with more to come in the near future.

“Contra Costa County has proven people are looking for something different in the fitness space,” UFC Gym Vice President Adam Sedlack said. “In the past year we have seen members transform their lives and achieve results they have sought for years but been unable to achieve. Members continuously tell us that the brand is better than they expect and more than they could imagine.”
